OCTOBER 2026 BSRI Thrift Stores NEWS:

October is a cooler time of year, fun time and it can be spooky.  And all of this will apply to both our thrift stores in Calabash and Shallotte this October!

S — SPOOKY has arrived at BSRI Thrift Stores in Calabash and Shallotte! October brings cooler mornings, colorful leaves, shorter days and that unmistakable feeling of fall in the air. Step inside our stores and you’ll find the season changing there too, with fall clothing, autumn décor, Halloween treasures and new donations arriving every day.

P — Pick out something perfect for the cooler days ahead! Sweaters, jackets, jeans, slacks, long-sleeve shirts and other fall favorites are filling our racks. Be sure to look for our Fashion Finds too—those especially nice, stylish and unique pieces that stand out from the crowd.

O — October is a great month for thrifting! There’s something about the crisp air, changing leaves and sights and smells of fall that makes you want to get out and explore. Wander our aisles, take your time and see what catches your eye. Every visit offers something different!

O — Open the door to fall at home too! Warm autumn colors, seasonal decorations, kitchenware, furniture, artwork and one-of-a-kind treasures can give your home a fresh look without spending a fortune. As Halloween approaches, watch for costumes, decorations and spooky surprises creeping into the stores!

K — Keep coming back because our inventory never stays the same for long! Donations arrive throughout the week, so what wasn’t here yesterday could be waiting for you today. Listen to the leaves crunch beneath your feet, enjoy that cool October breeze and make BSRI one of your stops while you’re out enjoying the season.

Y — You never know what you’ll find! Maybe it’s a great Fashion Find, the perfect fall decoration, a Halloween treasure or something completely unexpected. That’s the fun of thrifting!
